Hendersonville Christmas Marketplace

Hendersonville Christmas Marketplace

This past Saturday it was rainy and cold, so we spent a few hours inside the Hendersonville Christmas Marketplace. It was held in the Expo Center and I was thoroughly surprised at the amount of space and number of vendors set up!

I’m going to stick to my normal routine of highlighting my favorite vendors/booths, displaying images I took or from their social media sites to give you readers at home a quick review to browse!

Fried Pie Primitives Cute booth with the “primitives” style goods, I can not find any images online from Teresa Williams but trust me she has a great selection of hand-sewn dolls and pillows. I’ll be in touch with her to get some images soon!

Farm Country Cheese House sold cheese that was seriously the best thing I’ve ever had, we bought 5 5oz bars! The also sell in a 5lb size too, and very reasonably priced. Amish communities in and around Lakeview, Michigan have supplied all of the milk and most of the labor to process the wide variety of cheeses they sell. The cows are naturally raised, grass fed and antibiotic free, with absolutely no artificial hormones introduced in their diet. The farmers milk the cows twice daily, by hand, for delivery to the Cheese House.

The Diva Shoppe was an awesome booth specializing in fashionable trends and affordable women’s clothing and accessories to make any woman look great! Charisse Ward was an awesome shop owner, dressed head to toe in clothes the shop has and looked fabulous. She also carries the All Artistic Works by Lu jewelry, which is handcrafted in Lu’s studio-boutique in Leavenworth, Kansas. Only a limited number of each design is made, so you can be assured that you will always shine in a crowd!

Rustic & Redeemed – Kim and Jessica Lorance had my favorite booth of the show. Their specialty is handcrafted home decor salvaged from used goods. Pieces include frames, wooden signs, and custom work. I fell in love with two pieces, one was a chicken wire frame with clothespins for notes or reminders, and the other was a Christmas piece that said “O Holy Night” in white and blue, simply adorable. Everything was priced really great and the girls were so friendly, highly recommend following them on Facebook to see where they are heading next or goods they post online!

Red Tail Forge Works is an awesome booth that I think I also have seen at the Last Chance Santa Barn Sale, not sure tho. Red Tail Forge Works delivers excellent quality, period blacksmith goods for historic homes and historic sites throughout Tennessee and other parts of the southeast. I think some of his goods would be so perfect for a log cabin, farmhouse or mountain chalet decor.

Surely Goodness was another favorite, adorable booth at the marketplace. Bethany Mackey sold these cute handpainted frames that held pictures by a band of burlap or ribbon, very unique and creative. I wish I could post pictures and a link, but alas I can not find anything online for her! I have sent an e-mail out and if I hear back I will update the post with her info. Worth stopping by her booth nevertheless!

Gunflower Boutique is a new favorite too! They have a unique selection of painted furniture, barnwood and antiques. They have a specialty in Americana goods, which I love — bright blues and reds. I love the name of their shop, and can’t wait to see more of them. How about this blue bench they have listed on their Facebook… I’ve already e-mailed about it :)

Deer Owl Designs is a new vendor that packs a big punch, I spent quite a bit of time in this booth.  Cari McDonald and Kristen Littlefield had alot of really unique pieces of furniture that were totally repurposed, like a dining room table bottom with a barn wood plank table top! She had sidetables, lamps and more like this too. Very creative and added a unique look to the “up-cycled” craze going on. Check out her Facebook page for more!

And honorable mentions that attended this sale as well, were By Lizzy Lee and Sew in Love. You can read more about their booths and goods in my barn sale review of the Last Chance Santa. Overall I was really glad we took an hour or so out of our Saturday to stop by here and pick up a few Christmas gifts and meet some new great vendors!
