For a few years I’ve been following Horsefeathers Gifts, and I’ve watched this business grow from an Etsy shop to a national known brand… all starting in Kentucky by a sweet girl and her mama! “Inspired by rural landscape and small town living, the gals of HorseFeathers love to put a little country in every outfit and home.”
Chelsea Farmer, and her mom Tammy Asher, have been best friends from the beginning and in 2009, they harnessed that friendship and turned it into a business partnership, launching HorseFeathers from their hometown in Western Kentucky. From barn sales to style consultations, the HorseFeathers brand quickly came together – exemplifying heirloom quality at everyday cost.
The adorable jewelry they sell is perfect the country and city girls, most of the products with few exceptions, the metal components and chain are fashioned using recycled silver, brass and other metals. Many of our findings are created in our own studio using PMC. PMC (precious metal clay) is amazing stuff! Particles of earth-friendly reclaimed pure silver are mixed with an organic binder which burns away during firing. The finished item is 99.9% pure silver. (Sterling is .925, or 92.5% silver). All eco-friendly!
Chelsea is an adorable farm girl with some serious design flair! If you follow her Instagram you know what I mean! I love her passion for business, but her love of family and the “farm/country” lifestyle is obvious is everything she does. It’s a great fit for barn sales and she travels to many local sales, like The Hayloft at Port Royal and Sweet Tea and Shopping events! The also offer wholesale to showcase their goods in your boutique, gift shop or yoga studio! I’m going to post a few of my favorite products, and below them I will list all of contact info for Horsefeathers Gifts.
